“I don’t have a favorite music genre or song for work,” admits Valerii Katurha, Senior Lawyer at Manimama Law Firm. His musical tastes are so diverse that it’s hard to limit himself to just one style.

One of the songs that has been motivating for Valerii recently is “Gasoline” by the Italian band Måneskin. It’s not just energizing, but also carries a deep meaning that is personally significant to him.
The song touches on an important issue — condemning the Russian dictatorial regime. For Valerii, it’s more than just music. Måneskin, as an internationally renowned band, is not afraid to raise the topic of war and bring it to the global stage, which is a powerful gesture of support for Ukraine in this unjust war.
“Music doesn’t just motivate; it pushes you to think and take action. It shows how important it is to use your platform to support the truth,” says Valerii.
If Valerii’s legal work had a soundtrack, it would undoubtedly be Lo-fi. This music genre is perfect for creating an atmosphere of calm and focus, which is essential for working with legal documents and analysis.
“Legal work is a balance between attention to detail and strategic thinking, and Lo-fi, with its soft rhythms and peaceful melody, perfectly reflects this process,” explains Valerii. The lightness and unobtrusiveness of Lo-fi help him concentrate on complex issues without being distracted by unnecessary noise. Music becomes a true partner in work, helping to find the right balance between details and overarching strategic goals.
