Inside Look: A Working Day of a Manimama Lawyer

Today, we will examine Manimama lawyer Yuliia Lupanova’s work schedule and learn about his typical day, from interesting tasks to daily challenges.

Yuliia Lupanova is a self-motivated lawyer with three years of experience. She has been involved in court representation, public procurement, contractual activities and legal advice in various areas of law, and has knowledge and skills in the field of corruption prevention. The experience she has gained over the years allows her to do her job effectively and cope with her tasks efficiently. Yuliia’s main functional responsibilities include drafting various policies and documents for our clients, conducting detailed legal research in various areas (company registration, AML/CFT legislation, crypto regulation, etc.).

Let’s see what Yulia’s day as a lawyer looks like:

Question 1: What’s your morning routine like before you start working? What practices help you focus and get ready for a productive day?

“I usually wake up around 8 AM and start my day with quiet moments to focus on myself. Breakfast and a cup of aromatic coffee with milk are essential to my morning routine, setting a positive tone and helping me prepare for a productive day.

Before diving into work, I always take a few minutes to plan my day. I review my task list and set priorities to ensure that I’m focused on the most important things from the very start. It sets the tone for a productive day, provided I’m ready to tackle my top priorities with a clear mindset.”

Question 2: What does your typical working day look like? What are your main tasks?

“My workday typically begins at 9 AM and lasts until 6 PM, with an hour-long lunch break. Flexibility is an important aspect of my job, as tasks can shift throughout the day depending on their priority or urgency.

The core tasks I handle cover a wide range of activities. I consistently communicate with clients, providing them with the support they need, and actively collaborate with my team—explaining tasks, assisting with their completion, making edits, and reviewing documents. Much of my work involves research and product development, as well as preparing offers and presentations.

Additionally, I write AML/CTF policies, search for potential partners in various jurisdictions, and communicate with them. Collaborating with colleagues and management, writing articles, and creating drafts, templates, and legal opinions are crucial to my daily activities.

Every day brings new challenges and opportunities, and my responsibilities often vary based on client requests and current projects. This keeps my workday dynamic and engaging.”

Question 3: How do you plan your workday to make sure you accomplish all your tasks?

“I always start my day with clear planning. I tackle the most important and challenging tasks in the morning when I am the most energized and productive. I break down larger projects into smaller stages, making it easier to manage the process and track my progress. This approach helps me avoid overwhelming myself while staying focused on key objectives, keeping my workday balanced and efficient.”

Question 4: What challenges do you face during your work? How do you overcome them?

“One of the biggest challenges I face at work is the constant change of legislation and regulatory requirements. To stay updated, I continuously refresh my knowledge by reading research, paying attention to new bills, reviewing legal articles, and analyzing changes.

Another challenge is time management. While clear planning helps me handle many tasks, urgent requests can arise unexpectedly at any moment. This is where my organization and ability to respond quickly come into play.

When working on complex projects, I set clear deadlines for each stage and maintain communication with my team to ensure everything stays on track. Adapting to unforeseen circumstances and quickly resolving issues have also become part of my daily routine. Flexibility and effective communication help me navigate these challenges.”

Question 5: How do you maintain a balance between work and personal life? Do you have any tips?

“To find a balance between work and personal life, I try to set clear working hours and stick to a schedule, although that isn’t always easy. However, I always make time for relaxation after the workday to allow myself to recharge.

With a remote job, it’s crucial to keep work and personal hours separate, so I establish clear boundaries for both. This approach helps me work efficiently and truly unwind after completing my tasks.

Hobbies, walks, spending time with loved ones, reading books, and simple breaks restore my energy and prepare me for a new workday. Carving out a little time for myself and my interests is a fantastic way to prevent burnout and stay motivated at work.”

Question 6: What do you enjoy the most about your work at Manimama?

Innovative environment. The world of cryptocurrencies is constantly changing and evolving, making it interesting and exciting to work in this industry. There’s always an opportunity to learn something new.

Remote work. This is a huge advantage since you can work anywhere. I sometimes miss face-to-face interactions with colleagues in the office, but the ability to plan my day flexibly makes it worthwhile.

Our team is a real treasure! I truly appreciate our leadership and colleagues. They are all professionals who strive for growth. Working with them is easy and enjoyable, and most importantly, I can always count on their support and assistance.

Interesting cases. Working on diverse tasks continually sharpens my skills and opens up new horizons of knowledge.

Clients from different countries. This offers the chance to work at an international level and learn more about various jurisdictions and the nuances of regulations in different parts of the world.

Motivation and growth. Manimama provides an environment for personal and professional development, inspiring me to grow and reach new heights.”
