Question 1: From your perspective, which three professional skills are vital for success in your industry, and why do you think so?

  • “Needs analysis is one of the most important aspects of achieving high HR performance. It encompasses all processes, from recruitment to working with colleagues. A deep understanding of needs enables us to address issues effectively and create an environment where shared business goals become the foundation for growth and success.
  • Listening skills go beyond simply ‘hearing’—they are about truly paying attention. They complement the first and allow us to uncover deeper needs that have to be carefully analyzed and addressed.
  • Communication skills are undoubtedly one of the key competencies for any HR professional. It’s essential to engage effectively with any speaker, demonstrating confidence and openness. Whether interacting with candidates, employees, or management, communication should be clear, assertive, and transparent.”

Question 2: How did you develop these skills and what helped you in that process?

“Throughout my professional journey, I have acquired and developed skills, gradually progressing and accumulating experience. These soft skills are flexible and require constant self-improvement, making them extremely important nowadays.

My education in psychology has significantly deepened my understanding of the approaches to developing interaction skills with the external environment. This knowledge of psychology helps me solve work-related tasks and foster a positive working atmosphere where everyone feels valued and understood.”

Question 3: Could you provide an example of how applying these skills resulted in a project’s success?

“Every success I attain is a direct consequence of effectively utilizing the skills I have acquired. For example, filling a vacancy is not just a formality; it is the result of a conscious approach to identifying the need for a new specialist. Similarly, organizing training courses arises after recognizing the current needs of the team.

Additionally, the ability to have open conversations with colleagues about their workloads is crucial, as it allows for the effective redistribution of tasks and ensures maximum productivity. Working on mistakes, particularly analyzing the reasons for their occurrence, is also an integral part of my process, as it helps to avoid similar situations in the future.”

“I think that all the skills we have discussed should form the foundation for every HR professional. They help create a conducive working environment that fosters team development and the achievement of common goals.

Although developing hard skills may seem more challenging  nowadays, soft skills such as emotional intelligence, communication, and adaptability are critically important. These qualities enable HR professionals to effectively respond to the challenges faced by the organization and support the team amid constant changes.”

“Answering this question requires some thought, especially since I am currently pursuing a degree aimed at enhancing my skills. Once I complete my studies, I will dedicate more attention to additional training and resources, carefully analyzing their effectiveness.

However, I can already recommend corporate training programs, which have a significant impact on professional development as well as team dynamics. These programs help improve communication skills while fostering a unique atmosphere of collaboration. In a world where communication and mutual understanding are becoming increasingly important, investing in these resources is truly great for your career success.”
